Spaghetti Marinara

Spaghetti Marinara is a simple, comforting classic made with tender pasta and a rich tomato-based sauce. It’s quick to make, naturally vegetarian, and perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a family-style meal. Pair it with a side salad or garlic bread for a delicious Italian-inspired plate everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat spaghetti (or gluten-free)

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

  • ½ jar of Marinara sauce

    Optional

    • Parmesan cheese

    • Fresh or dried basil

Directions:

  1. Use your liquid measuring cup to measure 12 cups of water into the large pot.

  2. Measure 2 teaspoons of olive oil into the pot.

  3. Turn the heat on high until water is boiling.

  4. Add ½ box of spaghetti into the boiling water and reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 10 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.

  5. When finished, carefully pour the water through a strainer in the sink.

  6. Add ½ jar of tomato sauce and stir.

  7. Top with basil and parmesan cheese (optional)

  8. Enjoy!
